Case Study

Brit Awards

2023/02/11

Introduction

We were so happy to work closely with the BPI who run the Brit Awards.

They were very keen to do something special for the fans who watch the awards at home and get excited over the winners.

Challenge

To get fans watching at home to join in the fun and create some cool content.

Solution

We created two activations:-

  • Get your unique BRITs Photo.
  • Share your reaction when winners are announced.

Fans could take part in both activities by opening the Brit Awards skinned App which was shared as URLs on Social media and the BRITs website.

The 'Get your BRITS photo' activation allowed fans to take a photo of themselves with a BRIT Award for a personalised memento of the night.

The 'Share your Reaction' activation was a great way for fans to show their excitement of their favourite artists winning awards.

The stimulus video in the app was Jack Saunders (Head of the Official Chart Show on BBC Radio 1) encouraging the fans to cheer.

Results

We were delighted to see the response from fans around the world. Within two hours we had content from 82 countries. It was incredible to see so many people getting involved in the activation, and it was a testament to the success of the Filmily platform.

Toby Leveson, Senior Digital Content Manager for the BRIT Awards said:

The Filmily platform has been great in engaging fans in The BRIT Awards. The flexibility of the platform enabled us to be creative in our approach and was very easy to use and update. Fans are integral to The BRITs, and Filmily offers us a chance to involve them in the show like never before.
